Festivals Update

SPEAK are popping up all over place at festivals this year. You may already have spotted us at Soul Survivor, and we’re looking forward to Momentum, Greenbelt and Forum. We’ve met some fantastic people with a real passion for justice, and it’s been wonderful sharing the vision of SPEAK. If you see us, come and say hello – we love to meet friends of SPEAK.

We’re going to be everywhere at Greenbelt. Friends of SPEAK will be gathering together on Sunday afternoon to celebrate 14 years of SPEAK, so make sure you join us at12.30pm, in the Tiny Tea Tent!
Here’s a rundown of some of the other places you can catch us around the site…

In the “Eden” venue, we’ll be providing creative installations and hosting a discussion at 5pm every day. We’ve still got some spaces left for creative ideas, so if you’re an aspiring artist, and have an imaginative response to issues of Global Justice, get in touch!
In the “Roots” venue, we’ll be hosting an Protest Song Open Mic (3pm, Monday), so grab a guitar, drum or kitchen pan, and join in!
The SPEAK Tipi will play host to the “Silent Disorder”, observing a daily cycle of meditation and reflection, and performing creative actions all over the place!
Experienced campaigners will be taking part in the Living Library Lunch in the Shed on Monday, and answering all your questions on the topic of “Me and My World”.
